Charitable Walks
Employees put on their walking shoes and fundraising hat for two community events in April - the Mississippi Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk and the March of Babies Walk. This year the number of the team members grew along with donations, raising almost $1,000 through a variety of in-house activities.
Blood Drives
“Give a gift of life” is truly a life saving gift when a person needs blood. Southern Farm Bureau Casualty employees know the meaning and respond wholeheartedly when asked – either year round or at one of our annual blood drives on the premises.
Horses for the Handicapped
While other employees were walking, employee Charles McIntyre was riding – riding horses in the annual Horses for the Handicapped. For three days, “big” Charles lifted hundreds of physically disabled kids onto horses to take a stroll in the arena. Charles was sore for another three days, however, the smile on the kids’ faces made it all worthwhile.
